Fix, Internet Data Problem on Poco X2 after Software Update
Verify Signal Strength
In a lot of network issues, poor or weak signals are to blame. If your Poco X2 is showing No Service all the time recently, be sure to check how the signal bars are showing on your device. Anything lower than 3 bars is not good and can indicate a network issue.
If you are inside a building, try to go out and see if No Service goes away. If you are traveling by car, you may be transiting a dead spot. What you want to do is to move a known well-covered area. If No service remains, there may be an issue with your Poco X2. Continue troubleshooting it by following the steps below.
Verify Data Subscription
Mobile data is not free for subscribers so a sudden stop for this service can mean that you will have to settle your bills first. If you think that this factor can play a role in your situation, make sure to get advice from your carrier on what to do. In most instances, paying outstanding service will automatically restore the service.
Simple Reboot or Forced Reboot
Well, I think you already know how to restart your phone. So just restart the device and see whether it solves the issue or not. Restarting a device is always an ultimate solution for any issue. Not only Poco but this applies to every electronic device. I used to tell my mom to restart her device if she faces any issue with her smartphone.
Well if you still need to know how to restart then, here is it: Press your phone’s power button. On the screen, tap Restart.
The other way of the reboot is as follows:
- Press and hold the volume down button first and don’t let go.
- Press and hold the power key while holding down the volume down button.
- Keep both keys held down for 15 seconds or more.
If this doesn’t work then head to the next method. Rebooting your device regularly at least once every week can be beneficial.
Reset Network Settings
- Open ‘Settings’ from either the Quick Nav menu or the launcher.
- After opening Settings, look for ‘Connection & Sharing’ and open it.
- After opening Connection & Sharing, scroll down and tap ‘Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth’.
- Now, tap ‘Reset Settings’ that is located at the center bottom of the screen.
- Now, it will ask for your lock screen password, confirm it.
- Now, a popup window will appear asking you the final time.
- Finally, tap on the Ok button.
- Tap on it and you’re good to go.
Troubleshoot SIM card
Remove and Reinsert SIM Card
I don’t think you need another tutorial to reinstall a sim card in your device. Just remove the sim tray from the device and restart the device and then reinsert it to the device.
- Activate the flight mode.
- Push Sim eject tool into the circular opening on the SIM card tray to remove it.
- Power off the device.
- Remove the Sim card from the Sim tray then place it back in.
- Push the tray back into the slot.
- Boot the device.
Once you’ve removed the SIM card from the device, wait for a few moments before re-inserting it. This has the effect of refreshing the system without the old cellular settings. Once the SIM card is re-inserted and the phone restarted, your network’s configuration should be added automatically.
If you have another phone that can work with your network, you can also try to insert the SIM card to it. This will help you check if there’s an issue with the SIM card itself. If the problem returns when you use the SIM card in the second device, you either have an issue with the SIM or with the network. Try getting a new SIM card to see if it’s the SIM or the network.
